Flight Systems Industrial Products Salutes Retiring President At Year End

January 2021

CARLISLE, Pennsylvania, January 15, 2021: After 35 years of dedicated service, President Barry Bowman retired his position with Flight Systems Industrial Products (FSIP). Bowman has been the “driving force” behind FSIP’s success and growth over the years by developing partnerships with electronic and vehicle manufacturers and managing the company with strong leadership principles to provide quality customer service and products, along with growing their OEM alliances.

“35 years ago, the founder of Flight Systems, Bob Shaffner, gave me a job as an electronic draftsman,” said Bowman. “I would have never imagined at that time that it would lead me to where I am today. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to have a handful of very good mentors; they know who they are, and I will always be grateful. While I may have led the FSIP team, it’s the employees that make what this business is today. I’ve been successful because of them and will always be appreciative of their efforts and commitment to the business.”

Effective upon his retirement, Pam Jones assumed the role as General Manager. “Thank you for all the hard work and dedication you have given to FSIP,” she said, “and the commitment that you’ve given to our employees here. Also, thank you for all the mentoring that you’ve shown me over the years.”

We will now be able to provide a much shorter turnaround time and in some cases be able to provide same day service to this region. We will also be very diligent in maintaining ample stock of rebuilt exchange, on-the-shelf ready to ship, units of the most popular controls and products.” Proccichiani adds “I am very excited to be part of the FSIP organization. FSIP’s experience, product offerings and reputation within the markets made it an easy decision to align with them. It will be my responsibility to ensure the new location provides FSIP customers in the area with the same quality and service they have come to expect.”

After 49 years of growth, along with their strong OEM and manufacturer relationships, FSIP’s capabilities now include over 12,000 part numbers consisting of over 9,000 remanufactured, 2,000 manufactured and 1,000 distributed part numbers, while employing more than 115 personnel.
