What the Delta-Q QuiQ Charger Discontinuation Means for You & How FSIP Can Help

The End of an Era for Delta-Q QuiQ Chargers

Delta-Q Technologies has officially announced the discontinuation of its popular QuiQ series battery chargers and associated accessories, marking the end of a 25-year old era.

These chargers have been a staple in industries like golf and material handling and are often seen charging vehicles like aerial lifts, scrubber-sweepers, and golf cars. Their widespread adoption has made them a reliable and essential charging solution.

The discontinuation of QuiQ chargers will leave many businesses with the difficult challenge of finding suitable replacements for their 24 and 48-volt battery systems. Those businesses will have to face the decision of upgrading to a new charger or continue using their QuiQ chargers until the units eventually fail.

What Are the Recommended Replacements?

Delta-Q has suggested its IC series (IC650) and RQ series (RQ700) as suitable replacements for QuiQ chargers. While these options work well for 24-volt systems, they are not ideal solutions for 48-volt systems due to being underpowered compared to 1000 and 1500 watt QuiQ chargers.

Many customers may prefer to keep their QuiQ chargers running rather than switching to new models due to its many desirable features such as:

  • Flexible and adaptable design for both on- and offboard use
  • Compatibility with multiple battery chemistries and voltages
  • Lightweight, compact, and high-frequency design
  • IP66 rating for durability in tough environments
  • Identical mechanical designs across the QuiQ series, making them easy to integrate across different machines

Given that some vehicles have chargers integrated into their systems, like QuiQ chargers, replacements are not an option. This is another reason why some customers may prefer not to switch, as the vehicle cannot function without the charger being installed.

With FSIP’s remanufacturing services, we can help keep your QuiQ chargers up and running to OEM standards. Not only does remanufacturing save your company money and extend the lifespan of your charger, it’s also environmentally friendly, reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills by restoring existing units instead of discarding them.

With our ISO certification, we are focused on giving our customers reliable and high-performance remanufactured products that meet or exceed OEM standards, making sure to replace any stressed, compromised, or failed components, and returning all remanufactured units with a 1-year warranty.

Future-Proofing Your Fleet: Additional Charger Options

The last day to place last-time buy orders for Delta-Q QuiQ chargers is March 31st, 2025.
