FSIP's President, Barry Bowman, Retires After 35 Years of Visionary Leadership

CARLISLE, Pennsylvania, January 15, 2021: A momentous chapter in the history of Flight Systems Industrial Products (FSIP) unfolds, as the company bade farewell to its longstanding President, Barry Bowman. With 35 years of dedicated service to his name, Bowman's retirement marked the end of an era, but his legacy of visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to FSIP's growth and success will continue to reverberate through the organization.

Barry Bowman had been the driving force behind FSIP's remarkable journey of expansion and achievement. His tenure at the company was characterized by the development of critical partnerships with electronic and vehicle manufacturers. Through these strategic alliances, he paved the way for FSIP to become a trusted and indispensable player in the industrial products landscape. Bowman's leadership principles were deeply rooted in the values of quality customer service and products, as well as the nurturing of OEM alliances, which played a pivotal role in FSIP's rise to prominence.

Reflecting on his extraordinary journey, Bowman shared, "35 years ago, the founder of Flight Systems, Bob Shaffner, gave me a job as an electronic draftsman. I would have never imagined at that time that it would lead me to where I am today. Along the way, I've been fortunate to have a handful of very good mentors; they know who they are, and I will always be grateful. While I may have led the FSIP team, it's the employees that make what this business is today. I've been successful because of them and will always be appreciative of their efforts and commitment to the business."

Bowman's retirement marked a pivotal moment in FSIP's history, as it ushered in a new era under the capable leadership of Pam Jones. Effective immediately upon Bowman's retirement, Jones assumed the role of General Manager. In a heartfelt message to the FSIP family, she expressed her gratitude to Barry Bowman for his tireless dedication and leadership, as well as for the invaluable mentoring he had provided to her over the years.

"Thank you for all the hard work and dedication you have given to FSIP," Jones acknowledged. "And the commitment that you've given to our employees here. Also, thank you for all the mentoring that you've shown me over the years." Jones's ascension to the position of General Manager marked the company's commitment to continuity, growth, and excellence, as FSIP continued its mission of delivering top-tier products and services to its loyal customer base.
