FSIP Electronics attended our first EV Charging Summit & Expo held from March 20-22, 2024. As a company with deep roots in sustainability and battery charging, it was an honor to attend this event and talk with industry leaders and experts within the EV charging field.
As a company dedicated to repairing and remanufacturing electronic parts, we understand that it’s a matter of when electronic components will fail, not if. And continuing with the disposal and replacement ideology of these electronic chargers with an ever-growing industry does not positivity reflect the efforts to be sustainable.
Not only is repairing and remanufacturing a sustainable solution, but it’s also a cost-effective and convenient one. When these chargers begin failing, the current solution is to replace them with a brand new charger, some of which may be marketed as a “newer charging technology.” It can also become challenging to receive the parts for new chargers. The lead times for these components can be extremely long or may not be available at all.
Remanufacturing and repairing pushes this solution out of the question, helping EV companies save up to 50% of the cost of a new charger and repair the broken components without having to wait for the new ones. Better yet, remanufacturing is not just about replacing the worn or broken hardware, any software updates that are required are applied to the product as well to ensure it has the most up-to-date version.
Participating in the EV Charging Summit & Expo has put the name “FSIP Electronics” on the radar of professionals within the EV industry and is just the beginning of new opportunities for us. We are excited about the positive impact that we can make in promoting more sustainable practices, and creating lasting partnerships that help pave the way to EV industry advancements.
